Tech- and health-focused venture capital fund Arcadian Cap announced the final close of its third fund at USD 240 million through a strategic tie-up with LSM Management.
The fund had an initial target of USD 225 million and exercised its greenshoe option to accommodate strong investor demand. First close was achieved in June 2022. The fund attracted more than 16 limited partners, with 80 percent being first-time investors in the Arcadian Cap platform.
Arcadian Cap typically invests USD 10 to 15 million in emerging consumer brands across technology, healthcare and related sectors. The fund maintains significant follow-on reserves to support portfolio companies through subsequent growth stages.
“Our mission has always been to identify and nurture companies that are building the future of healthcare and technology. With the close of Fund III, we have the resources and the partnerships to support our portfolio companies through every phase of their growth journey. We are grateful for the confidence our investors have placed in our strategy and team.”— Founder and Managing Partner, Arcadian Cap
Arcadian Cap has invested in six companies over the last three quarters and plans to invest in a total of 8 to 10 growth-stage startups from the fund.
“We are deeply committed to backing passionate entrepreneurs who are solving real problems. Ours is not a spray-and-pray approach. We take concentrated positions in businesses where we can add meaningful operational value alongside capital.”— Chief Investment Officer, Arcadian Cap
Commenting on the partnership with LSM Management, an Arcadian Cap spokesperson noted: “The volatile market environment has not dampened fundraising interest. Our strategic tie-up with LSM Management was instrumental in broadening our investor base and navigating the complexities of a global fundraise. Their expertise in connecting fund managers with institutional and family-office capital across the Middle East and Asia proved invaluable.”
